According to The Guardian, Ikea is in talks to open up its own museum inside of the very first Ikea in Älmhult, Sweden! Ikea put in a request to create a museum out of the very first Ikea building, since it already attracts so much attention from surrounding countries.
The museum is expected to house “fun and interactive” exhibits, giving details about the crazy names of your beloved furniture, as well as the 70-year-old history of the infamous store, the Huffington Post reports. Of course, you can’t forget the famously cheap yet delicious Swedish meatballs! I’d be surprised if they didn’t build a restaurant!
If all plans work out in Ikea’s favor, the museum would be scheduled to open in 2015, so if you wanted to visit, you have plenty of time to save up for those plane tickets!
